Administrative Law

Litigation

The professionals of the Firm specialize in every area of the administrative procedural law. Particularly intense is the practice with the procedure applicable to public tenders, an area in which the Firm provides its services also in civil litigations and arbitrations concerning the execution phase. In 2019, the professionals of the Firm has won an Award as “Team Legale dell’anno Boutique di Eccellenza – Appalti Pubblici”.

Public procurement, public contracts and competition law

The professionals of the Firm have great expertise in the area of public contracts and licenses (including project finance), particularly related to utilities (such as transportation, energy and airports), providing assistance to their clients in various of the main tenders and litigations at national level of the recent years.

The activities in the area of public tenders include counselling in favour of contracting authorities in the drafting of tender notices and in the awarding of contracts, as well as in favour of economic operators (in single or aggregated form), both in the stage of submission of the offer and in the execution phase of public concessions and contracts (works, services and supplies), as well in the phase of registration of the reserves. This experience has led the professionals of the Firm to be called as speakers to legal training courses.

The Firm provides legal assistance and advice in the area of competition law and with respect to regulated markets.

Public transportation and infrastructure law

The Firm advises a number of leading domestic players in the public road and rail transport business as well as airport and motorway operators. The activities carried out in this area of law cover the issues concerning the regulation of this business sector and its opening at the market (the legal service provided include advice in the awarding of these services and in the relationship with the contracting authorities).

Many are the road transport companies that for many years have been addressing the founding partners for advice; among these companies are some of the national leading players.

Environmental law

The Firm’s practice in Environmental law includes counselling as well as the assistance of Clients during the administrative procedures and during litigations in front of civil and administrative courts. In this area, the Firm has been mainly involved in remediations of contaminated sites (including national interest sites), environmental permits and environmental impact assessments, as well as waste management issues (from the awarding of the contract to the execution phase and to the regulations from the relevant independent authority) and public-private joint ventures related to this area.

Planning and development law

The Firm has a considerable experience in urban planning and construction law and in compulsory acquisition proceedings.

In this area, the Firm, both on behalf of private and public entities (municipalities, developers, investment funds), has been involved in significant operations of urban recovery and development, and in important land expropriation procedures.

With reference to these legal issues, the Firm’s practice includes both extrajudicial and judicial assistance.

Public property and cultural heritage law

The Firm’s professionals provide both judicial and non-judicial assistance in the area of public property and state concessions (mainly with respect to maritime concessions, ports concessions and airports concessions).

The Firm has been involved in the movement of cultural goods in national and international contexts and in the issues related to the protection of such goods on behalf of private collectors and of antique dealers and experts.

Litigation

The Firm represents its clients before civil courts and arbitration panels, paying particular attention to possible settlements also involving ADR entities.

The Firm – in addition to its best friendship relationship with the firms Greenberg Traurig Santa Maria (based in Milan) and CLAvis (based in Rome) – takes advantage of a wide and well-established network of lawyers across the entire national territory with the aim to serve at best the client’s interest.

Commercial contracts

The professionals of the Firm provide assistance to national as well as foreign individuals and companies and have a considerable varied experience in the area of (national and international) commercial contracts and joint venture agreements.

Company law

The professionals of the Firm advise leading companies and consortia, drafting articles of association, shareholders’ agreements and joint venture agreements. The Firm handles all phases of extraordinary &A operations, from structuring to due diligence and the relative corporate and regulatory compliance.

Real estate law

For many years the Firm’s founding partners have been representing real estate investors and developers, as well as construction companies and consortia. The Firm has been involved in a number of real estate acquisitions, handling all the relevant contracts (such as construction agreements of agency, project and asset management agreements) and integrating such activities with the expertise in urban planning.

Insolvency law

The Firm provides assistance in the area of insolvency law and – also in partnership with other renowned boutique law firms – handles debt restructuring agreements.

Alberto Bianchi held the position of commissioner liquidator of the former state participation holding (EFIM), following, from its beginning, one of the most important liquidations of the Italian economic history.

Inheritance law
